2026 Capital Campaign Update Letter

Dear Friends of Cherry Run Camp,

As we move into the fall, I wanted to take a moment to give you an update on our Cherry Run Camp Capital Campaign- and, more importantly, to say thank you.

When we began this campaign, we set an ambitious goal of raising $250,000 to make significant improvements to Cherry Run Camp and prepare this special place for the next generation.

I am excited to tell you that we have now reached the halfway point! More than $125,000 has been given or committed toward our campaign. That is worth celebrating!

But the number itself isn’t what excites me most. What excites me is what that generosity represents. It represents people and churches who believe Cherry Run still has a mission and a future. It represents people who believe that gathering together, hearing the Gospel, building relationships, and creating memories can still change lives.

Thank you. Truly. You are helping us live into the mission of Cherry Run Camp!

That is why this campaign matters.

When we improve a building, we are preparing a place for ministry where disciples are made.

When we make our facilities safer and more accessible, we are removing barriers so more people can encounter Jesus Christ Cherry Run.

When we renovate our lodging and gathering spaces, we are creating environments where people can experience the teaching and preaching of God’s Word and enjoy the grace of Christian fellowship.

We aren’t simply preserving the past. We are preparing Cherry Run for its future mission.

Because of your generosity, we are already seeing meaningful improvements around camp.

We have made progress on renovations to the hotel, helping create a more welcoming and functional space for those who come to Cherry Run. We have made improvements to camp facilities and grounds, making the property safer, more useful, and better equipped for ministry. We have also been able to address important needs that aren’t always glamorous but are essential to keeping camp moving forward.

And behind every improvement is a person:

The young person who hears about Jesus.

The family who comes to worship and reconnect.

The church group that gathers for fellowship.

The child who makes a lifelong memory.

The person who walks through the tabernacle doors carrying a burden and discovers that God has not forgotten them.

We aren’t simply raising money for buildings. We are investing in ministry. And we are halfway there—but not yet finished.

Reaching the halfway point is a tremendous milestone, but there is still work to do. We have another $125,000 to raise to reach our $250,000 goal.

So, as we celebrate what has already been accomplished, I invite you to continue praying about how you might be part of the next half of this campaign.

Maybe you’ve already given—thank you.

Maybe you’ve made a commitment and are faithfully fulfilling it—thank you.

Maybe you’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to participate. If so, now is a wonderful time to consider making a gift or commitment.

Every gift matters.

Every church that participates matters.

Every person who believes in the future of Cherry Run matters.

Cherry Run is bigger than any one congregation. We are stewards of grounds that have been used by God for generations.

Now it is our turn to help prepare it for the generations who will come after us.

Thank you for believing in Cherry Run Camp, for giving generously, for praying faithfully, and for helping us move forward.

We have reached the halfway point. Let’s see what God will do with the next half!

With gratitude and hope,

Rev. Brett M. Dinger
