Nursing Information
Our Nurses Cottage is staffed by medical professionals 24 hours per day except the last Sunday when the nurse is only available until noon. We supervise the provision of medication for youth ages 12-17. We expect that the responsible person for those under 12 or over 18 will provide and/or take their own medication. We have over-the-counter medications as needed in the Nurse's Cottage. In the case of sickness or injury, parents/guardians are notified when the nurse believes the youth should be seen by a doctor or visit the ER. Should a youth need to leave for injury or illness, the Youth Director and Counselor are notified as well as other nursing staff.
As the safety of your children is a priority to us, we need to know about your child’s allergies. Upon arrival at camp, please fill out an allergy/medication sheet and provide a list and medications to the registrar. If youth do not know their allergies, we will call the guardian before any over-the-counter medication is given.
Upon arrival at camp, please fill out an allergy/medication sheet and provide a list and medications to the registrar. If medications are not in their original containers, please provide a list of the container's contents along with the camper's name. Medications must be given to the camp nurse at check-in to be administered by the nurse. Youth with inhalers and epi pens will discuss with the nurse whether or not they can carry the inhaler and/or epi pen with them. Medications must be picked up by noon on the second Sunday.

Other
Due to very limited space and the amount of time involved in handling hundreds of lost and found items:
1. Parents are encouraged to label everything with the camper’s full name. If the item has the camper’s name on it, we will contact you to pick it up. Items with names on them will only be held for 14 days. Any items not claimed after 14 days will be given to a charitable organization. If the item is not labeled with a name, we will only keep it for one week after it is found, then it will be given to a charitable organization.
2. Socks, underwear, and bath towels will not be kept.
3. CHERRY RUN is not responsible for items left behind, lost, or stolen.
4. We are exclusively using a lost and found form so if your camper left something behind, please complete the form.
5. Parents are required to cover the cost of shipping.
While we are not equipped to handle campers requiring one-on-one attention, we can accommodate some special needs campers. Please give us a call or email us to discuss your child’s specific needs.
