Cherry Run Camp is getting ready for another season of ministry, and we would love your help to keep our spaces safe, welcoming, and ready for guests. This October we are hosting two Fall Work Days: Saturday, October 4, 2025 and Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Come for the full day or give whatever time you can.

What We Will Tackle Together
From fresh paint to protective coverings, there are meaningful projects for every skill level. Some volunteers may help brighten and preserve cabins by scraping and repainting key surfaces, including a few interior rooms that benefit from mold-resistant finishes. Others may focus on simple upgrades that make a big difference in comfort and safety: replacing select light bulbs in the chapel, covering chairs for storage, and laying laminate flooring in a small upstairs bathroom. Our grounds teams might stabilize walkways with outdoor boards, tidy up storage areas by moving supplies to winter locations, or prepare beds and furniture with plastic sheeting. We also have seasonal tasks like installing bird-proof netting on a porch, organizing paint for the colder months, and relocating campers for weather protection. For those who enjoy carpentry, small builds such as shelving units and light railing touch-ups are available. Audio helpers can assist with a sound system refresh, and a few specialized window or ceiling tile efforts will round out the list.

Who Should Come
Everyone has a place on Work Day. If you like to paint, sweep, carry, cut, or organize, we have a job for you. If you are handy with tools, even better. If you prefer to support from behind the scenes, you can help cover furniture, sort materials, or label storage. Youth groups, small groups, and Sunday School classes are ideal teams for these projects.
What to Bring
We will provide materials for most tasks, and we already have items like laminate flooring, ceiling tile, and plastic sheeting on site. If you have favorite tools or protective gear, you are welcome to bring them. Work gloves, safety glasses, and paint clothes are helpful. If you take on a build or repair, please coordinate with us so we can confirm what supplies are available at camp.
